Convert sheet music to midi software
Scan multiple pages of printed sheet music or process any PDF file and watch as it reconstructs on-screen in seconds, ready for playback and clean-up. Simultaneously view and edit MIDI data in both notation & familiar Piano Roll, Overview and Event list format. Upadating is automatic. Export MIDI files to other programs, including AppleВ® GarageBandВ®, AcidВ®, CubaseВ®, CakewalkВ®, LogicВ® or other MIDI-based software. Most notation symbols including key and time signatures are written to the MIDI file.
Limits: 4 staves per system. MIDI file output (Type 1/Type 0). No printing or exporting of MusicXML files. No recognition of text, lyrics, TAB or percussion

Drum Patterns
Assign MIDI or Garritan instrument sounds (included free). Control Playback parameters in the Playback Console or Garritan Aria player. Full transport controls (mute, solo, volume, pan and transpose pitch). Add one of 40 preset drum patterns or create and store your own MIDI-based drum pattern.
Properties Tool
Change playback properties of hairpins, dynamic marks, legatos, trills and other symbols. Apply change to a single object or to all similar symbols. Store customized changes to symbols as new default for future SmartScore files.
MIDI Sequencer
Playback and edit your scanned music in standard notation environment (comparing the original to the recognized version). Or visualize, edit and play back in the familiar MIDI sequencing environment. Includes Piano Roll, Overview and Event List views.
Two-way notation-to-MIDI-to-notation editing
Visualize and edit underlying MIDI structure. MIDI editors are fully integrated with the music notation editor. Velocity and Tempo graphical controllers allow for smooth dynamic shading. Edits made in one screen are automatically updated in the other.

Garritan Sound Library
SmartScore X 2 includes a large subset of Garritan jazz, pop and orchestral instrument sounds. Garritan sounds are state-of-art digitally sampled sound libraries that realistically reproduce musical instruments in performance. Garritan sounds are carefully recorded samples of actual musical instruments. They are not electronically synthesized. View the list of sounds included in every edition of SmartScore X 2 .

System requirements
Windows: 486 DX or faster PC (Pentium® recommended), running Windows® 95/98/Me/NT4/2000, 32Mb RAM (64Mb recommended), 20Mb free hard disk space, scanner*.
Mac: G4/G3/iMac/PowerMac running Mac OS 8.0 or higher, 32Mb RAM (64Mb recommended), 20Mb free hard disk space, scanner* (TWAIN-compatible recommended). On Mac OS 8.0 you need to have AppearanceLib installed (available free from Apple). Mac OS X is not currently recommended, as most scanner drivers do not currently support Mac OS X.
*You need to be able to adjust your scanner's resolution and grayscale settings. PhotoScore MIDI works best with 200-400 dpi and 256 grays.
